One of 7 plurality of elders. I am the Elder Secretary taking minutes for elder meetings.
What do you love most about what you do at HBC?
Close relationships with members. Mentoring, encouraging and loving the members at HBC and caring for them.
What is your favorite Bible verse, and why?
2 Timothy 3:16-17
All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be completely equipped for every good work. These are my two favorite verses because they stand the test of time. 40 years ago I learned to trust the entire Bible to be true and accurate by trusting these two verses. I was taught. I was rebuked. I was corrected. And I was trained in righteousness to be equipped for every good work. And 40 years later, the Bible is still alive, dynamic and active. And continues to teach, reproof, correct, and train me in righteousness so I can be equipped to do the perfect work that God has prepared in advance for me to be doing.
How long have you been attending HBC?
Ever since we started praying to start a church in Vernon.
What 3 things do you do for fun outside of HBC?
1. Spend as much time as possible with grandchildren.
2. Hike at the top of Highland Lakes mountain.
3. Vacation with Debbie and our extended family.
