Tell us about your family…spouse, kids, pets?
My husband, Brian, and I have been married for 12 years. In 2019, we had our daughter Olivia and can’t even remember what life was like before her! Pure joy! Griffin, our dog, has been part of our family for 15 years! Old man!
What is your title or role at HBC?
Deacon of Children’s Ministry
Give a brief description of what you are responsible for…
My responsibilities as deacon involve weekly scheduling of volunteers, ordering and organizing curriculum and materials and planning and facilitating any special programs for Christmas and Easter.
What do you love most about what you do at HBC?
I love being able to encourage adults to enjoy teaching our children!!! It’s so sweet to see volunteers of all ages teaching children The Gospel!
What is your favorite Bible verse, and why?
Philippines 4:6-7
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.
As a mama, these verses are in my head on repeat! I am so encouraged by these verses because they explicitly tell me to not be anxious about anything while anchoring me back to Christ through prayer. It’s so simple and such a great reminder, daily!

How long have you been attending HBC?
4 years this August.
What 3 things do you do for fun outside of HBC?
I LOVE to be outside. We participate in the 1000 hours outside challenge each year! I really enjoy cooking and most recently, baking sourdough bread! And I love to read! There’s always a stack of books on my bedside table.
